Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 20 March 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to ORDO (ordo.events), a DJ booking platform for private events. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. What ORDO Is
ORDO is an introduction platform only. We connect clients looking for DJs with independent DJs offering their services. ORDO is not a party to any agreement, contract, or financial transaction between clients and DJs. We do not employ, manage, or represent any DJ listed on the platform.
3. Definitions
- “Platform” — ordo.events and all associated services.
- “Client” — any person who uses the Platform to find and contact a DJ.
- “DJ” — any individual who registers to offer their services through the Platform.
- “Introduction” — a connection facilitated by ORDO between a Client and DJ.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use ORDO. You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account or making a booking request. ORDO reserves the right to suspend accounts that provide false or misleading information.
5. How Bookings Work
Clients submit booking requests through the Platform. DJs receive these requests and may accept or decline. If a DJ accepts, both parties are connected through a messaging thread to discuss event details and agree on a fee. All financial arrangements, including price, payment method, and payment timing, are agreed directly between the Client and DJ. ORDO does not process, hold, or handle any payments between parties.
6. No Agency Relationship
ORDO does not act as an agent, employer, or representative for any DJ or Client. DJs listed on the Platform are independent professionals. ORDO does not guarantee the availability, quality, skill, or conduct of any DJ. Clients are responsible for conducting their own due diligence before engaging a DJ.
7. DJ Responsibilities
DJs are independent contractors and are solely responsible for: the quality and delivery of their services, their own equipment, insurance, and safety, compliance with all applicable laws and tax obligations in their jurisdiction, and honouring commitments made to Clients through the Platform.
8. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for: providing accurate event details in booking requests, ensuring DJs have safe and reasonable access to the venue, communicating any changes or cancellations through the Platform in a timely manner, and arranging and making payment directly to the DJ as agreed.
9. Cancellations
Since all bookings and payments are arranged directly between Clients and DJs, cancellation terms are a matter between the two parties. ORDO recommends that both parties agree on cancellation terms before confirming a booking. ORDO is not responsible for any losses arising from cancellations.
10. Platform Commission
ORDO is currently free to use for both Clients and DJs. When in-platform payment processing is introduced in the future, a commission fee may apply to confirmed bookings. Users will be notified in advance of any changes to fees.
11. Intellectual Property
All ORDO Platform content, design, and branding are the intellectual property of ORDO. DJs grant ORDO a non-exclusive licence to display their profile content (name, photo, bio, genres, mixes) on the Platform for promotional purposes.
12. Limitation of Liability
ORDO acts as an introduction platform only and accepts no liability for: the quality, safety, or outcome of DJ services, any financial loss or dispute between a Client and DJ, cancellations, no-shows, or performance issues, any damage to property or injury at events. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ORDO’s total liability for any claim shall not exceed £100.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ORDO, its founders, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform, any booking you enter into, or any breach of these Terms.
14. Changes to Terms
ORDO may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
