1. Who We Are

ORDO (ordo.events) is a DJ booking platform for private events. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. We are committed to complying with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Contact: hello.ordo.project@gmail.com

2. Data We Collect

  • Identity data: name, DJ name
  • Contact data: email address, phone number
  • Profile data: DJ biography, genres, city, profile photos, music links, equipment info, Instagram handle
  • Booking data: event details, messages exchanged through the booking thread, offer amounts
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited

We do not collect or store financial data such as bank details, card numbers, or payment information. All payments are arranged directly between Clients and DJs outside of the Platform.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To create and manage your account or DJ profile
  • To facilitate introductions between Clients and DJs
  • To send booking request notifications and confirmations via email
  • To enable in-platform messaging between matched parties
  • To improve the Platform and personalise your experience
  • To comply with legal obligations

4. Legal Basis

We process your data on the following bases: consent (when you submit an application or booking request), legitimate interest (platform operation, security, improvements), and legal obligation (where required by law).

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

  • Supabase — secure database hosting (EU servers)
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Vercel — website hosting and analytics
  • The other party in a booking — when a booking is accepted, the Client and DJ can see each other’s name, email, and messages within the booking thread
  • Law enforcement where required by law

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. DJ profiles remain visible while approved. Booking records and messages are retained for 3 years after the event date for dispute resolution. You may request deletion at any time.

7. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Data portability

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for platform operation and analytics cookies (via Vercel) to understand usage. No advertising cookies are used. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

9. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Data is stored securely on Supabase with row-level security policies. We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your personal data, but no system is 100% secure.

10. International Transfers

Your data may be processed outside the UK by our service providers (Supabase, Resend, Vercel). These providers maintain appropriate data protection standards.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
